As we wrap of the month of April we start with a new sermon series called Kingdom Life....
I shared with the church that everyone wants to live a Kingdom Life but does not want to pay the price that it requires. Few things which are not hard at all. It will require us to training our minds to think a different way.
Learning to be meek, merciful and a peacemaker are a few.
You see living the Kingdom Life will require sacrifice and commitment as well. Many other things come along with this lifestyle. When I first came to Christ I really did not know what it meant when people would say its a lifestyle. What in the world where they talking about... let me share with you.
In this walk you can choose to become a member of a church or a Kingdom Citizen. A member would be someone who just shows up in another words I am here but don't ask to much of me. A Kingdom Citizen knows where they stand and understands that they take part in an important roll of the Kingdom of God they also understand that many situations may arise but they will not be moved or shaken. In this walk you will meet so many people that will say I'm with you, I got you but truly at the end of the day no one is there and no one has you especially if there is no motive in it for themselves, we live in a shameful, selfish world. This you don't have to worry about with Jesus because He is with you no matter what. In this walk your going to make mistakes but that will never exempt you from the love and faithfulness of Jesus. He is still going to accept you and be there for you. Even when you don't do what He wants you to do. That's the difference that's my point. As a Kingdom Citizen you know this and because you know this you will be persecuted, you will be rejected, you will made to some people non existent. However, the GOOD NEWS.... God did not create you to associate with such non-sense.
No one can remove the Joy of a Kingdom Citizen. No one can remove your praise. No one can take you into a place of non-existence when your existence is of the only one that matters which is your Abba Father. You see you don't have to be someone you are Not because you are already Someone!
Matthew 5 speaks about the Beatitudes and this is what Jesus was teaching to His true disciples who had come to him to learn from him. He wanted to prepare them for what was to come. You see as you learn this, your prepared for when your set aside, when your pushed away and understand it's because what is in you is to powerful to be diluted and or mixed. Stay true to your call as a Kingdom Citizen. Remain humble, merciful and above all with a Pure Heart. For as the Father says... Father forgive them for they not know what they have done.
I stand grateful to Our Father who knows very well in advance the plans that He has for each of us and they are never to harm us.
Stay true to who God has called you to be even if it means you stand alone. Remember your not a member of a network, clan, group or so on your a true Kingdom Citizen.
Father is ONE... Can you pay His price...
This image right here spoke strongly into my spirit. I can say there have been times that I have greatly failed as a parent. Not only a parent to my very own children but also to my spiritual children.
When you see an image like this you must ask God for wisdom to illuminate as it speaks volume. Many times as parents we lack in areas that our children are in desperate need of. Just looking at one part of the image I can see "A token of Love" let me share by saying I was brought up in a very wealthy home. We had it all when I was growing up. We wanted it and We got it!
Wait stop... let me
Share that did not fill the gap.
As I grew up I had an emptiness inside of me. I did not have the attention I really wanted from my parents. My father was military so he was rough with us! I was the oldest daughter so as many older children in the home much is expected. I do have my brother who was from Dads first marriage He was incognito "Gay" so that was another issue and that would be to long to share right about now.
But, again my point here is that there was something still missing... they could buy me the world and I still felt empty. I sit and think on this today... I give Thanks at this moment as I have found what fills me and many know that is Jesus "He is the Center of it all for me"....
Going deeper... raising my own children my son who is now twenty two had him when I was I just turning seventeen years old... could this relate to the emptiness "Yes of Course" life with my son was very hard... almost lost him due to my negligence..made a turn for the best after a horrible domestic dispute I then have my girls now one which is seventeen a senior in high school very bright young lady totally focused. I can say I laid it all down for her.
Can't complain she has turned out to be the "Golden Child" but wait there is one more my youngest she is twelve... hmmmm I'm challenged and why you ask? Well my mind set on ministry... and I must be wise and choose carefully have a balance as I don't want to have her with any emptiness or lack of my attention; keep her involved!
And ... of course the Spiritual children which I have many... am Question after looking at image .... Am I laying it down for them to come up and above! To do greater things then me??
Being a parent or even a spiritual parent will cost you... are you willing to INVEST cause you will learn that it may just mean taking the food out of your very own mouth to feed your children.
Only God can help you come to terms with that.... this is why we must seek wisdom from the ONE. That we know there is only ONE that will lay it all down for us!
My prayer is that I be that parent that thinks about "What can I do to make my Child Shine" and if my child for a moment does not shine "What can I do to change that"
I want to be the ladder for them to grow and prosper! Reach higher then where I could have would have reached!!!
That's being "A Father"
With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!" Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this - heart and soul - will ever regret it." It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. "Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help." But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That's why Scripture exclaims, A sight to take your breath away! Grand processions of people telling all the good things of God! But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: "Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of it?" The point is, Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ's Word is preached, there's nothing to listen to. But haven't there been plenty of opportunities for Israel to listen and understand what's going on? Plenty, I'd say. Preachers' voices have gone 'round the world, Their message to earth's seven seas. So the big question is, Why didn't Israel understand that she had no corner on this message? Moses had it right when he predicted, When you see God reach out to those you consider your inferiors - outsiders! - you'll become insanely jealous. When you see God reach out to people you think are religiously stupid, you'll throw temper tantrums. Isaiah dared to speak out these words of God: People found and welcomed me who never so much as looked for me. And I found and welcomed people who had never even asked about me.
Romans 10:10-20 MSG
Do you truly trust Him...
Many times we say we do but do we really trust Him? I know it can be hard to place your trust in someone you can't even see. But what if you take time to listen?
The bottom line is that automatically when you begin to listen you will then begin to activate your faith! Boom right there. The moment you listen you can trust and that is where your faith is set on high.
Any and everything you believe you can have you will have. You see many times we stay conformed with what we have because instead of listening to God we are looking to see what is before us and we cut off what God is trying to place in us and we stop, saying this we are not stepping into believing Him for something greater.
So much word is spoken over our life's... are we listening? That's the question.
You may try something and you may like it but by no means are you to conform to that. Conformity brings out nothing. You must allow Him to expand you. Expanding you is taking you to what is unknown..
Something greater awaits you. People have this consumption "Well if it did not work there" what makes you think it will work elsewhere..... wrong what fools I hear the Lord saying.
Here's my two sense;
You know I got some input on that. God can't leave a person with purpose, potential in a dry place for too long. There is a lesson to be learned for the greatness that is to come!
Did you learn... and what you learned what are you teaching now... Are you listening to God? There is a real life lesson here.
Are you finally trusting me says the Lord?
Even deeper... I intentionally planned and put you in that place for sometime to prepare you and know I'm taking you where you need to be.
Are you ready to be that daring chosen one... don't hold back release the spirit and allow me to have my way. Your time has come it's now... move in it and don't hold back.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Saturday and I'm thinking out loud....
Enjoy!!! Small word that signifies a lot. In life many times we can be so complicated and always anxious!! The Word of God says not to be!
Did you wake up today saying "Thank You" did you woke up realizing how greatly blessed you truly are? Food for the thought!
Many times we are wrapped up in complicated situations and it's because we like it... who likes drama? Not me.... I am a drama free zone and let me share how effective you can be by avoiding it and just simply turning it all over to God.... yes you can! Turn over issues, people, illness, weakness, stubbornness, low self esteem, depression and the list goes on!
TURN IT OVER
I sit here this Saturday morning/afternoon and "Enjoy" the "Breeze" the "Sun" I sit here and write this and think of the fact that I have nothing to be worried about but just can sit back and relax out here in my "Beautiful City of Lake Nona" chatting with strangers and just truly embracing my community. So I say it again... you Really can make your day....
Yes you sure can!
YOU can choose!
YOU have that right!
YOU have that option!
I must say the past few months have been really interesting for me! I have learned what it is to truly hand it all over and not feel ashamed, embarrassed, worried, concerned or anxious.
This is the KEY to life!
Take His Word and Apply It!
What's the worst thing... here's one!
ONE of the worst things that could ever happen is your mind being tormented to make you think it's all your fault, your worthless, your never gonna make it. Many people today suffer from depression and many other dangerous illnesses that can even lead to suicide and this is due to there mind playing games on them.
I myself have faced times where thoughts want to come in and torment my mind. I have gotten to the point that I have said I want to run away and never come back.
It's really sad when a person finds themselves in this mind set. Breaking out of this can only be done with prayer and fasting. These are not normal thoughts they are darts being thrown to destroy who God has created you to be.
Facing these thoughts and acknowledging that they are not coming from a positive realm is a victory. You can't just ignore thoughts like this you have to cancel and remove them immediately or they will literally torment you.
You have to call out to God and ask for renewal of your mind and many times you may need to seek professional help and there is nothing wrong with that.
You can Pray, You can Fast asking for these captive thoughts be removed. It's ok to call upon for help. Your not alone! Don't close yourself into this either as it will destroy you.
I have had this heavy in my heart and have wanted to share this. What I want is that whomever needed to read this know;
YOUR NOT ALONE!
THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE!
YOU CAN COME OUT OF THIS!
DO NOT STAY SILENT AS IT IS DEADLY!
1 John 4:4
Today we had an amazing day with family and friends. Hope you can join us for our next event!
I'm a survivor....
I love receiving messages asking if I have blogged recently.... let's me know that what I live for which is to Inspire is truly taking place and touching lives.
This evening I'm gonna be straight up... well I always am so here we go!!
So you think the enemy is out to get you... you think he is sitting there calling you out on all the junk from the past. Let me share with you that he can careless what you did back then!
What he wants is your future. You see what you are going through and have been thru many would stay and ponder as a VICTIM but not you my dear your a survivor!
Laugh it off...
Say with me "What you mad?"
The fact here is that when you have Purpose and true potential you will face much adversity, trials, battles whatever you want to call it.
The fact is He dislikes that you get up and face your giants on a daily basis... you have no time for pity parties!
Yep!! That's it... when you come to understanding that you are a threat you will face it all. I have always said only Gods strongest, finest will receive the toughest battles... you got this!
Keep your head up! Stay focused and I share my favorite verse with you... Jeremiah 29:11
The plans God has for you... Wow! Ask me... I have seen my share and I know it's just the beginning of greatness! Yes it's true... why? Cause I decided not to be a sorry Victim but a Survivor. I look at each and every last experience and grow from
it... it's true you get better with time.
You got this...
Hang in there...
Walk in Purpose...
Live to Inspire...
You are pure greatness...
The enemy has tried.. he can't...
Your a Survivor....
My jam... I'm a survivor I'm gonna make it! 🎶🎶🎶🎶
And then God showed up!
There is something so amazing about turning it over to God.
You see many times we want to control the matter... the situation! God refuses to work in that disorder... that's exactly what it is Disorder!
You see God wants to lead the way. He wants to be front and center. I can sit back and look today and say "Wow God Showed Up".
When you least expect He will Show Up! He will show you He has got it all under control. You can try and do things for God but the bottom line it won't come out the way He wants it to. When you sit back and say this is all you....
You will truly see His supernatural Glory pour down.
As many know on this journey you must be anchored on Jesus... if not you will fall away.
I was sharing with those that came to fellowship today that God is a God of starting all over again and again until it's just right. I shared with them how the first church started on the day of Pentecost. It took believers to see His glory manifested!
With this I say let God do His thing... allow Him in to your heart and let Him lead the way.
Never allow your past to put you in a place or a mindset of a Victim... you are where you because you have survived! Your a survivor and it's all because you have laid it down and allowed God to step in and show up! I share this to let it be known what has happened in the past was not to be looked at as failure it was to be looked at as experience and the more experience the better!
He was waiting on you to say "Ok have your way" and when you say this and act on it this is what happens;
Greater glory promised to the second temple than to the first.
Those who are hearty in the Lord's service shall receive encouragement to proceed. But they could not build such a temple then, as Solomon built. Though our gracious God is pleased if we do as well as we can in his service, yet our proud hearts will scarcely let us be pleased, unless we do as well as others, whose abilities are far beyond ours. Encouragement is given the Jews to go on in the work notwithstanding. They have God with them, his Spirit and his special presence. Though he chastens their transgressions, his faithfulness does not fail. The Spirit still remained among them. And they shall have the Messiah among them shortly; to He that should come. to Convulsions and changes would take place in the Jewish church and state, but first should come great revolutions and commotions among the nations. He shall come, as the Desire of all nations; desirable to all nations, for in him shall all the earth be blessed with the best of blessings; long expected and desired by all believers. The house they were building should be filled with glory, very far beyond Solomon's temple. This house shall be filled with glory of another nature. If we have silver and gold, we must serve and honour God with it, for the property is his. If we have not silver and gold, we must honour him with such as we have, and he will accept us. Let them be comforted that the glory of this latter house shall be greater than that of the former, in what would be beyond all the glories of the first house, the presence of the Messiah, the Son of God, the Lord of glory, personally, and in human nature. Nothing but the presence of the Son of God, in human form and nature, could fulfil this. Jesus is the Christ, is He that should come, and we are to look for no other. This prophecy alone is enough to silence the Jews, and condemn their obstinate rejection of Him, concerning whom all their prophets spake. If God be with us, peace is with us. But the Jews under the latter temple had much trouble; but this promise is fulfilled in that spiritual peace which Jesus Christ has by his blood purchased for all believers. All changes shall make way for Christ to be desired and valued by all nations. And the Jews shall have their eyes opened to behold how precious He is, whom they have hitherto rejected.
